Career highlight: Silver medalist – Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010.

Benson Gicharu already knows the level of determination, hunger and skill required to gain qualification for the Olympic Games, having represented his country at London 2012.

He has a tight defense that incorporates unorthodox blocks and movements of the body.

Physically well-conditioned and a crisp and aggressive puncher, he can count excellent coordination as one of his best attributes together with lightning reactions and blurring hand speed. He will be looking to use all of these strengths to his advantage in the APB’s 56kg division where he will undoubtedly be a tough contender.
